Day 6 – Find time to do anything you love
This idea applies to everything from work, to self-care or spending quality time with people you love: Whenever you find you don’t have time for anything, you actually haven’t prioritised your time in the best way you could. I love this idea because in gives us back all the power we think life took from us. We can decide what to do and when, how much time to spend in social media, how much time to spend with our kids, how much time to spend in the bathtub, how much time to spend with our grandparents.
Every single human has the same available hours in their life, yet some achieve nothing and others make use of every single minute. People get busy, people get angry, people get carried away by all the responsibilities. I get it, it happens to all of us. But also, people regret for not having spend time with loved ones, when it’s too late, regret not having laughed enough, regret working too much, or not pursuing their hobbies. It all comes down to priorities and setting them right.
“You can do anything but not everything” and this is why you need to choose every moment of the day, you make a choice to school through Facebook or apply a face mask, to upload an Insta story or instantly play with your kid when you come home form a meeting. Mom’s tend to complain not having time to take care of themselves and I totally get it! Of course kid’s priorities comes first, and that’s the way it should be! You can’t leave your toddler waiting for his breakfast, because you want to meditate, but you can wake up 10 minutes earlier or watch 10 minute TV less, or quit anything that eats up those 10 minutes of yours, something you don’t value as much as your mediation time, or face mask time, or quiet shower time.
Take a look at your day and examine what it is that you could stop doing, to free up some time to do more of the things you love. Choose what not to focus on, and fill up that time with things and experiences that make you feel the way you want to feel. We’ll explore more on that topic throughout December, so don’t feel overwhelmed. I created a (free) workbook for you, with simple questions, which answering will give you clarity on those little things that take up too much of your precious time.
Now, tell me in the comments below, how did this video help you and most importantly, what are you going to do about it?
I am Evi and this is my way of working on a pretty creative self
